Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 0.88% or 0.17 points to trade at 19.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) unchanged 0.63% or 0.00 points to end at 0.33 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) was up 0.60% or 0.05 points to 8.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semapa (ELI:SEM), which fell 1.26% or 0.18 points to trade at 14.16 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) declined 1.09% or 0.10 points to end at 9.11 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) was down 1.07% or 0.04 points to 3.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 9 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.60% or 0.05 to 8.35.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.02% or 0.02 to $84.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.20% or 0.16 to hit $80.67 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.76% or 17.65 to trade at $2,313.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 105.68.
