Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which unchanged 1.18% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) added 0.12% or 0.02 points to end at 16.09 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was up 0.12% or 0.01 points to 4.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 1.67% or 0.24 points to trade at 14.14 at the close. EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) declined 1.28% or 0.05 points to end at 3.70 and Semapa (ELI:SEM) was down 0.70% or 0.10 points to 14.22.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.39% or 0.31 to $79.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.55% or 0.42 to hit $76.61 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 7.05 to trade at $2,470.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 102.90.
