Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 1.05% or 0.18 points to trade at 16.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (ELI:SEM) added 0.81% or 0.12 points to end at 15.00 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) was unchanged 0.50% or 0.00 points to 0.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 2.12% or 0.31 points to trade at 14.33 at the close. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) declined 1.03% or 0.18 points to end at 17.26 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) was down 0.95% or 0.04 points to 3.86.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 3.08% or 2.36 to $78.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.04% or 2.23 to hit $75.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 16.80 to trade at $2,642.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 102.73.
