Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA), which rose 1.71% or 0.14 points to trade at 8.33 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) added 1.27% or 0.11 points to end at 8.79 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was up 0.87% or 0.05 points to 5.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS), which fell 4.38% or 0.38 points to trade at 8.30 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 0.92% or 0.03 points to end at 3.00 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) was down 0.84% or 0.16 points to 18.79.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 12 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.87% or 0.05 to 5.83.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.05% or 0.04 to $78.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.39% or 0.29 to hit $74.33 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 15.66 to trade at $2,780.66 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.99% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.76% at 107.04.
