Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which rose 2.04% or 0.11 points to trade at 5.25 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) added 1.32% or 0.05 points to end at 3.70 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) was up 0.84% or 0.02 points to 2.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 2.99% or 0.34 points to trade at 11.03 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) declined 2.40% or 0.18 points to end at 7.32 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) was down 1.66% or 0.06 points to 3.44.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 2.73% or 1.94 to $72.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.82% or 1.89 to hit $68.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.69% or 43.45 to trade at $2,613.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.45% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 106.24.
