Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 1.51% or 0.04 points to trade at 2.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) added 1.16% or 0.01 points to end at 0.45 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was up 0.99% or 0.05 points to 4.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 2.82% or 0.28 points to trade at 9.81 at the close. EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) declined 1.92% or 0.06 points to end at 3.17 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was down 0.73% or 0.06 points to 8.18.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.82% or 0.28 to 9.81. Shares in EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.92% or 0.06 to 3.17.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.31% or 0.96 to $74.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.59% or 1.11 to hit $71.13 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.09% or 29.41 to trade at $2,679.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 106.70.
