Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR), which rose 1.51% or 0.06 points to trade at 3.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (ELI:SEM) added 1.17% or 0.18 points to end at 15.50 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) was up 0.42% or 0.01 points to 2.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which fell 1.14% or 0.04 points to trade at 3.63 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) declined 1.11% or 0.22 points to end at 19.09 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) was down 0.74% or 0.04 points to 5.39.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.87% or 1.54 to $80.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.13% or 1.67 to hit $76.73 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 10.75 to trade at $2,405.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.19.
