Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 2.67% or 0.53 points to trade at 20.37 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) added 0.74% or 0.03 points to end at 3.40 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.55% or 0.05 points to 9.11 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which fell 3.27% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.43 at the close. Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) declined 2.12% or 0.18 points to end at 8.32 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was down 1.50% or 0.06 points to 3.81.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 9 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.07% or 0.06 to $86.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.31% or 0.26 to hit $83.12 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 7.10 to trade at $2,331.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 105.52.
