Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 2.61% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which fell 0.62% or 0.0500 points to trade at 7.9700 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) fell 0.71% or 0.1100 points to end at 15.4900 and EDP (LS:EDP) was down 0.74% or 0.0250 points to 3.3530 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 8.11% or 0.0211 points to trade at 0.2392 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 6.48% or 0.0170 points to end at 0.2455 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 6.06% or 0.2050 points to 3.1800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 31 to 3 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.39% or 0.29 to $75.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 2.36% or 1.60 to hit $66.28 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.20 to trade at $1301.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.1549, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8718.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 94.77.
