Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 1.83% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco BPI (LS:BBPI), which rose 1.46% or 0.0150 points to trade at 1.0400 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 1.27% or 0.0330 points to end at 2.6310 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 0.52% or 0.0750 points to 14.5000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 9.44% or 0.0017 points to trade at 0.0163 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 8.72% or 0.1470 points to end at 1.5380 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was down 7.48% or 0.0190 points to 0.2350.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 38 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) fell to all time lows; falling 9.44% or 0.0017 to 0.0163.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.67% or 0.78 to $45.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.19% or 0.96 to hit $42.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.49% or 6.45 to trade at $1311.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.76% to 1.1159, while EUR/GBP rose 0.42% to 0.8529.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.75% at 95.99.
