Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 1.74%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 1.35% or 0.150 points to trade at 11.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.03% or 0.120 points to end at 11.780 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 0.95% or 0.0700 points to 7.4500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 3.34% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.2603 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.90% or 0.0180 points to end at 0.9280 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 1.61% or 0.2550 points to 15.6000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.24% or 0.95 to $75.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.80% or 1.22 to hit $66.66 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 6.10 to trade at $1297.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.1628, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8736.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.37.
