Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 1.68%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 1.25% or 0.0037 points to trade at 0.2987 at the close. Meanwhile, REN (LS:RENE) added 0.32% or 0.0080 points to end at 2.4820 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was down 0.06% or 0.0020 points to 3.4080 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which fell 9.73% or 1.6600 points to trade at 15.4000 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 2.75% or 0.280 points to end at 9.920 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was down 2.59% or 0.300 points to 11.300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.91% or 0.59 to $64.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.55% or 0.34 to hit $61.30 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 6.50 to trade at $1311.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.2208, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8886.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 90.64.
