Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 1.55% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which rose 0.56% or 0.0950 points to trade at 17.0150 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 0.42% or 0.0140 points to end at 3.3320 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 11.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 4.72% or 0.0105 points to trade at 0.2120 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 3.28% or 0.1200 points to end at 3.5400 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 3.15% or 0.0094 points to 0.2894.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 3.13% or 2.03 to $62.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 3.43% or 2.10 to hit $59.05 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.20 to trade at $1317.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.2208, while EUR/GBP rose 0.75% to 0.8868.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 90.45.
