Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 1.51%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 2.01% or 0.0055 points to trade at 0.2785 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.41% or 0.3000 points to end at 21.5500 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.90% or 0.0420 points to 4.7000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which fell 2.71% or 0.4650 points to trade at 16.6850 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 2.17% or 0.260 points to end at 11.700 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was down 1.74% or 0.0180 points to 1.0180.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semapa (LS:SEM) rose to all time highs; rising 1.41% or 0.3000 to 21.5500. Shares in Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) rose to 3-years lows; up 0.90% or 0.0420 to 4.7000.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.55% or 0.44 to $79.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.82% or 0.59 to hit $71.61 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1290.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.1699, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.8769.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 93.96.
