Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 1.46% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 0.23% or 0.0020 points to trade at 0.8760 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 8.000 and Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 7.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 5.62% or 0.0920 points to trade at 1.5440 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 3.69% or 0.1160 points to end at 3.0240 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was down 3.18% or 0.1700 points to 5.1800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 24 to 6 and 5 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for February delivery was down 3.83% or 2.19 to $55.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 3.97% or 1.91 to hit $46.26 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 10.20 to trade at $1266.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.75% to 1.1461, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.9044.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 95.812.
