Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 1.46% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 15.85% or 0.0290 points to trade at 0.2120 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 3.36% or 0.0330 points to end at 1.0160 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 1.35% or 0.0460 points to 3.4480 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae (LS:YSO), which fell 2.94% or 0.0360 points to trade at 1.1880 at the close. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 2.64% or 0.080 points to end at 2.950 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was down 2.56% or 0.300 points to 11.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 26 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.64% or 0.43 to $67.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.36% or 0.23 to hit $63.92 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 6.40 to trade at $1330.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.2386, while EUR/GBP rose 0.14% to 0.8871.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 89.49.
