Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 1.08% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 0.53% or 0.0130 points to trade at 2.4800 at the close. Meanwhile, J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 0.51% or 0.0850 points to end at 16.7950 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 0.42% or 0.050 points to 12.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 7.12% or 0.0153 points to trade at 0.1995 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 3.22% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.3010 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was down 1.59% or 0.0590 points to 3.6460.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 10 and 11 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.24% or 0.13 to $54.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $49.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.99% or 13.23 to trade at $1352.23 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.70% to 1.2001, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.9181.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.63% at 91.63.
