Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 4.84% or 0.2300 points to trade at 4.9800 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 0.59% or 0.0250 points to end at 4.2460 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.07% or 0.0100 points to 14.9650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 3.95% or 0.0160 points to trade at 0.3890 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 2.95% or 0.0970 points to end at 3.1930 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was down 2.35% or 0.3850 points to 16.0250.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.84% or 0.2300 to 4.9800. Shares in The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) rose to 52-week highs; up 0.59% or 0.0250 to 4.2460.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.61% or 0.34 to $55.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.01% or 0.51 to hit $49.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.51 to trade at $1276.39 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.1764, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.8862.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 93.27.
