Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.97%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA), which rose 0.41% or 0.013 points to trade at 3.199 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 0.02% or 0.0010 points to end at 5.5250 and Montepio (LS:MPIO) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 1.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 7.08% or 0.0230 points to trade at 0.3020 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 2.42% or 0.0590 points to end at 2.3800 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 2.08% or 0.2950 points to 13.9150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 30 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.25% or 0.13 to $51.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.23% or 0.11 to hit $48.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.96 to trade at $1293.06 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1822, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.9089.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 92.98.
