Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.96% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.77% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.1650 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 2.56% or 0.2200 points to end at 8.8300 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 0.57% or 0.0040 points to 0.7000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 2.63% or 0.0063 points to trade at 0.2336 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 2.17% or 0.2550 points to end at 11.4950 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 1.94% or 0.220 points to 11.100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.63% or 0.0063 to 0.2336. Shares in J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.17% or 0.2550 to 11.4950.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.01 to $84.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.27% or 0.20 to hit $74.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.00 to trade at $1204.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1509, while EUR/GBP fell 0.60% to 0.8789.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 95.39.
