Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 2.42% or 0.1020 points to trade at 4.3200 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.57% or 0.180 points to end at 11.680 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 0.82% or 0.1400 points to 17.2600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 3.10% or 0.0650 points to trade at 2.0350 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 2.43% or 0.0062 points to end at 0.2488 and EDP (LS:EDP) was down 1.83% or 0.0580 points to 3.1200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.10% or 0.0650 to 2.0350.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.86% or 1.54 to $84.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.97% or 1.44 to hit $74.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 2.80 to trade at $1193.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1575, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8878.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.94.
