Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.85% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 0.85% or 0.0280 points to trade at 3.3180 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 0.50% or 0.0250 points to end at 5.0700 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 0.33% or 0.030 points to 9.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 3.24% or 0.0500 points to trade at 1.4940 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 2.04% or 0.0049 points to end at 0.2355 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was down 2.01% or 0.1400 points to 6.8100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 24 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.24% or 0.0500 to 1.4940.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.95% or 0.60 to $62.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.12% or 0.61 to hit $54.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1227.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1404, while EUR/GBP fell 0.58% to 0.8857.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 96.405.
