Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 2.46% or 0.300 points to trade at 12.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 0.94% or 0.0040 points to end at 0.4300 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 0.33% or 0.0110 points to 3.3020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which fell 2.81% or 0.0240 points to trade at 0.8310 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 1.65% or 0.0170 points to end at 1.0130 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 1.34% or 0.0034 points to 0.2497.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 24 to 8 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.24% or 0.14 to $58.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.67% or 0.35 to hit $52.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.46 to trade at $1279.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.1809, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.8912.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 93.55.
