Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.82% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 6.67% or 0.2600 points to trade at 4.1600 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LS:SEM) added 6.10% or 0.9800 points to end at 17.0400 and Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) was up 1.04% or 0.100 points to 9.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which fell 6.01% or 0.0460 points to trade at 0.7200 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 4.60% or 0.3600 points to end at 7.4600 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 3.97% or 0.6550 points to 15.8500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.41% or 2.00 to $81.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.24% or 1.64 to hit $71.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.48% or 29.60 to trade at $1223.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.1576, while EUR/GBP rose 0.42% to 0.8770.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 94.86.
