Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.76% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 0.57% or 0.1000 points to trade at 17.5000 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) added 0.49% or 0.0045 points to end at 0.9195 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 0.48% or 0.0160 points to 3.3680 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 6.18% or 0.1600 points to trade at 2.4300 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 2.97% or 0.0260 points to end at 0.8480 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was down 2.95% or 0.280 points to 9.220.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 8 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.18% or 0.1600 to 2.4300.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.05% or 0.04 to $78.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $69.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 8.50 to trade at $1198.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.37% to 1.1577, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.9008.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 95.40.
