Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 1.63% or 0.0760 points to trade at 4.7340 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 0.65% or 0.0018 points to end at 0.2800 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 0.42% or 0.0010 points to 0.2395 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which fell 1.97% or 0.1500 points to trade at 7.4700 at the close. REN (LS:RENE) declined 1.74% or 0.0440 points to end at 2.4840 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 1.56% or 0.160 points to 10.100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.63% or 0.0760 to 4.7340.
Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $66.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.27% or 0.17 to hit $62.24 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.70 to trade at $1318.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.44% to 1.2344, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.8787.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 89.39.
