Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA), which rose 2.75% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.4480 at the close. Meanwhile, Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF) added 2.44% or 0.0001 points to end at 0.0041 and J. Martins SGPS (LISBON:JMT) was up 0.98% or 0.1200 points to 12.3350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae (LISBON:YSO), which fell 2.23% or 0.0240 points to trade at 1.0530 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LISBON:BCP) declined 1.90% or 0.0010 points to end at 0.0517 and EDP Renovaveis (LISBON:EDPRu) was down 1.40% or 0.0840 points to 5.9370.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 33 to 14 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF) rose to all time lows; gaining 2.44% or 0.0001 to 0.0041.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.34% or 0.66 to $48.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.31% or 1.06 to hit $44.86 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.56% or 6.20 to trade at $1103.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.57% to 1.1344, while EUR/GBP rose 0.67% to 0.7353.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.39% at 95.18.
