Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.61% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 2.19% or 0.240 points to trade at 11.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 1.75% or 0.160 points to end at 9.320 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 1.60% or 0.0030 points to 0.1900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 5.38% or 0.1250 points to trade at 2.2000 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 3.65% or 0.1220 points to end at 3.2220 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 2.55% or 0.4300 points to 16.4050.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.38% or 0.1250 to 2.2000.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.80% or 1.39 to $75.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.17% or 1.49 to hit $67.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.00 to trade at $1204.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1623, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8984.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 95.04.
