Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 1.56% or 0.0510 points to trade at 3.3230 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 1.34% or 0.0710 points to end at 5.3800 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 1.32% or 0.0050 points to 0.3830 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP (LS:EDP), which fell 2.74% or 0.0850 points to trade at 3.0150 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) declined 1.92% or 0.3150 points to end at 16.0850 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 1.28% or 0.1950 points to 15.0000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.56% or 0.0510 to 3.3230.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.70% or 1.54 to $55.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.13% or 1.59 to hit $49.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1276.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1726, while EUR/GBP rose 0.63% to 0.8982.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 93.70.
