Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 4.26% or 0.1390 points to trade at 3.4000 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LS:SEM) added 0.97% or 0.1650 points to end at 17.1650 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 0.70% or 0.0260 points to 3.7410 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which fell 3.48% or 0.410 points to trade at 11.370 at the close. REN (LS:RENE) declined 2.24% or 0.0560 points to end at 2.4430 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was down 1.54% or 0.2550 points to 16.3150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 14 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) rose to 3-years highs; up 0.70% or 0.0260 to 3.7410.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.72% or 1.07 to $63.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.15% or 0.65 to hit $57.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.50 to trade at $1249.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1761, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.8779.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 93.91.
