Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.55% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were F.Rama (LS:RAMA), which rose 2.09% or 0.200 points to trade at 9.750 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 0.99% or 0.0320 points to end at 3.2540 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 0.83% or 0.0700 points to 8.4550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 2.68% or 0.0067 points to trade at 0.2433 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.59% or 0.0350 points to end at 2.1650 and Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) was down 1.44% or 0.0130 points to 0.8885.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 25 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.59% or 0.0350 to 2.1650. Shares in Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.44% or 0.0130 to 0.8885.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.37% or 0.28 to $76.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.72% or 0.49 to hit $67.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 2.90 to trade at $1201.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.1558, while EUR/GBP fell 0.56% to 0.8939.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 95.36.
