Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 2.07% or 0.3600 points to trade at 17.7250 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 1.55% or 0.180 points to end at 11.780 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 1.15% or 0.0640 points to 5.6400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 10.10% or 0.0290 points to trade at 0.2580 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 3.76% or 0.1300 points to end at 3.3300 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was down 2.01% or 0.3250 points to 15.8500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semapa (LS:SEM) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.07% or 0.3600 to 17.7250.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.59% or 0.37 to $62.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.42% or 0.24 to hit $56.84 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 8.90 to trade at $1257.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.1788, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.8772.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 93.56.
