Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPRu), which rose 1.52% or 0.0950 points to trade at 6.3600 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) added 1.32% or 0.0140 points to end at 1.0740 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.29% or 0.0140 points to 1.1010 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Impresa SGPS (LS:IMPA), which fell 7.02% or 0.0400 points to trade at 0.5700 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 5.53% or 0.5010 points to end at 8.5510 and Banif SA (LS:BANIF) was down 4.00% or 0.0001 points to 0.0025.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 30 to 21 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.03% or 0.01 to $44.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.74% or 0.31 to hit $41.64 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.18% or 12.60 to trade at $1081.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.70% to 1.0735, while EUR/GBP rose 0.22% to 0.7014.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.65% at 99.02.
