Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 1.81% or 0.0160 points to trade at 0.8980 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 1.39% or 0.1900 points to end at 13.8600 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 0.72% or 0.060 points to 8.360 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 2.42% or 0.0044 points to trade at 0.1772 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) declined 1.83% or 0.1050 points to end at 5.6250 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was down 1.77% or 0.0760 points to 4.2060.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 16.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.38% or 0.24 to $62.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.66% or 0.92 to hit $54.34 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.25 to trade at $1318.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1436, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.8759.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.558.
