Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which rose 1.57% or 0.2450 points to trade at 15.8300 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 0.99% or 0.120 points to end at 12.200 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 0.03% or 0.0050 points to 15.5550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 5.12% or 0.0230 points to trade at 0.4260 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.35% or 0.0450 points to end at 3.2910 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was down 1.32% or 0.0690 points to 5.1550.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.36% or 0.78 to $58.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.92% or 0.48 to hit $52.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.83 to trade at $1278.07 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1766, while EUR/GBP rose 0.67% to 0.8962.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 93.79.
