Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.35% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which rose 0.77% or 0.1250 points to trade at 16.4600 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 0.58% or 0.0800 points to end at 13.8200 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 0.32% or 0.0010 points to 0.3150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which fell 2.12% or 0.0790 points to trade at 3.6510 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 1.91% or 0.0690 points to end at 3.5500 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was down 1.77% or 0.0170 points to 0.9450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 26 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.27% or 0.14 to $51.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.46% or 0.68 to hit $45.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.81 to trade at $1319.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.2016, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.9294.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 91.98.
