Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.21% or 0.0135 points to trade at 0.2725 at the close. Meanwhile, REN (LS:RENE) added 1.24% or 0.0320 points to end at 2.6120 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 0.92% or 0.0280 points to 3.0580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 1.31% or 0.0037 points to trade at 0.2781 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 0.82% or 0.0400 points to end at 4.8400 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was down 0.75% or 0.1100 points to 14.5400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 16 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.44% or 1.06 to $74.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.75% or 0.51 to hit $68.61 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 5.70 to trade at $1317.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.2097, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8783.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 91.51.
