Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.23% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 1.63% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.8740 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 1.26% or 0.2200 points to end at 17.6900 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.45% or 0.0220 points to 4.9380 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 6.76% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.1930 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 3.18% or 0.0850 points to end at 2.5900 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was down 2.25% or 0.4000 points to 17.4000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.68% or 0.53 to $78.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.50% or 0.35 to hit $70.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.60 to trade at $1207.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1620, while EUR/GBP rose 0.77% to 0.9022.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.04.
