Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 2.07% or 0.0059 points to trade at 0.2910 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 1.41% or 0.0640 points to end at 4.5880 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 1.33% or 0.0400 points to 3.0500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 8.49% or 0.3250 points to trade at 3.5050 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) declined 4.98% or 0.2540 points to end at 4.8460 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was down 3.98% or 0.0100 points to 0.2410.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.72% or 0.47 to $64.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.43% or 0.88 to hit $60.48 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 6.50 to trade at $1327.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.2393, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8871.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 89.67.
