Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 1.62% or 0.180 points to trade at 11.320 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 1.00% or 0.0850 points to end at 8.5550 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 0.75% or 0.0060 points to 0.8100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 4.75% or 0.0094 points to trade at 0.1886 at the close. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) declined 2.48% or 0.0225 points to end at 0.8845 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 2.27% or 0.0500 points to 2.1550.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.48% or 0.0225 to 0.8845. Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.27% or 0.0500 to 2.1550.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.93% or 1.49 to $78.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.56% or 1.73 to hit $69.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.50 to trade at $1202.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1596, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8909.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.15.
