Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which rose 0.94% or 0.1000 points to trade at 10.7900 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LS:SEM) added 0.83% or 0.1200 points to end at 14.5800 and Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) was up 0.65% or 0.050 points to 7.750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which fell 2.52% or 0.220 points to trade at 8.500 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.36% or 0.0240 points to end at 1.7420 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 1.02% or 0.0025 points to 0.2419.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.96% or 0.58 to $59.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.64% or 0.33 to hit $51.26 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.15 to trade at $1291.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1477, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8904.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 95.130.
