Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.15% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which rose 4.58% or 0.2290 points to trade at 5.2240 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 2.12% or 0.3400 points to end at 16.3450 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 0.50% or 0.0050 points to 1.0110 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 4.63% or 0.1580 points to trade at 3.2560 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 4.01% or 0.475 points to end at 11.370 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was down 3.96% or 0.0170 points to 0.4120.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) fell to all time lows; falling 4.63% or 0.1580 to 3.2560.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.82% or 0.52 to $64.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.86% or 0.49 to hit $57.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 4.02 to trade at $1287.72 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.1652, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8864.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 94.34.
