Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 2.48% or 0.1600 points to trade at 6.6100 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 2.42% or 0.0058 points to end at 0.2455 and Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) was up 1.29% or 0.100 points to 7.850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which fell 2.80% or 0.240 points to trade at 8.340 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 2.34% or 0.3400 points to end at 14.1950 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was down 1.73% or 0.0032 points to 0.1818.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 15 and 1 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.03% or 0.02 to $60.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.59% or 0.31 to hit $51.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.45 to trade at $1293.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.1401, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8868.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.688.
