Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA), which rose 2.08% or 0.200 points to trade at 9.800 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) added 1.69% or 0.0150 points to end at 0.9050 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 1.42% or 0.0300 points to 2.1450 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which fell 1.32% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.7460 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.28% or 0.2200 points to end at 16.9500 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was down 0.81% or 0.1400 points to 17.1000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.32% or 0.0100 to 0.7460.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.17% or 0.14 to $81.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.54% or 0.39 to hit $71.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 6.00 to trade at $1199.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.1745, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.8915.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 93.85.
