Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 0.78% or 0.0080 points to trade at 1.0280 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 0.78% or 0.0550 points to end at 7.0810 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.77% or 0.1200 points to 15.7250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 5.52% or 0.0270 points to trade at 0.4620 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 1.35% or 0.160 points to end at 11.720 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 1.13% or 0.0370 points to 3.2500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.77% or 0.1200 to 15.7250.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.62% or 0.94 to $57.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.29% or 0.67 to hit $51.37 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 6.83 to trade at $1289.83 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.39% to 1.1833, while EUR/GBP rose 0.77% to 0.8995.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 93.07.
