Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI added 1.67%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which rose 8.34% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) added 3.31% or 0.18 points to end at 5.45 and Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) was up 2.18% or 0.08 points to 3.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO), which fell 0.88% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.90 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) declined 0.60% or 0.02 points to end at 3.31 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) was down 0.52% or 0.10 points to 19.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.32% or 0.27 to $85.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.22% or 0.18 to hit $80.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 19.80 to trade at $2,366.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 105.26.
