Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI added 1.07% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 4.19% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) added 2.86% or 0.53 points to end at 19.03 and Semapa (ELI:SEM) was up 2.10% or 0.30 points to 14.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO), which unchanged 0.22% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.91 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) unchanged 0.11% or 0.00 points to end at 3.51 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.25% or 0.02 points to 8.09.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.12% or 0.10 to $81.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.24% or 0.19 to hit $77.66 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 4.21 to trade at $2,755.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.39% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 109.14.
