Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 1.91% or 0.37 points to trade at 19.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) added 1.79% or 0.09 points to end at 4.90 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) was up 1.64% or 0.23 points to 14.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE), which fell 0.42% or 0.01 points to trade at 2.37 at the close. Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) declined 0.12% or 0.01 points to end at 8.30 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 7.18.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.90% or 1.51 to $78.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.89% or 1.43 to hit $74.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 6.00 to trade at $2,543.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 101.79.
