Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 5.58% or 0.14 points to trade at 2.61 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) added 2.14% or 0.30 points to end at 14.32 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) was up 1.60% or 0.06 points to 3.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR), which fell 0.75% or 0.03 points to trade at 3.72 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) declined 0.58% or 0.03 points to end at 5.16 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) was down 0.53% or 0.01 points to 0.94.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $74.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $70.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 6.45 to trade at $2,685.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.40% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 103.29.
