Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT), which rose 2.21% or 0.39 points to trade at 18.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) added 1.94% or 0.32 points to end at 16.55 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) was up 1.29% or 0.20 points to 15.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which fell 1.83% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.41 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) declined 0.91% or 0.04 points to end at 4.38 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) was down 0.36% or 0.03 points to 8.31.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.80% or 0.57 to $71.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.02% or 0.69 to hit $68.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.89% or 23.85 to trade at $2,671.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 100.21.
